Biographical Note

Kristina Ford is a Curatorial Assistant and Project Manager at the Chair of Science, Technology and Gender Studies (STGS) at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), working within the ERC project Living with Radiation: The Role of the International Atomic Energy Agency in the History of Radiation Protection (HRP-IAEA).

She holds an MA in Cultural Heritage Studies from Central European University (CEU). Her master’s thesis, Conceptualizing Heritage Through the Exhibition of Documentary Photography in Budapest, Hungary, examines the versatile interpretations of photography as a form of heritage by a variety of Hungarian curators and institutions. Her research analyzing evidentiary information found in visual collections, along with her curatorial work in the history of science and technology, drives her commitment to preserving and sharing essential histories. She takes inspiration from the exhibition of visual collections and archival collections management to advance her career in analog and digital archival work.
