Gül Aydın, MSc
Biographical Note
Gül Aydın is a Ph.D. candidate in the History of Science and Technology Program at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). Her research focuses on the first generation of women engineers in Turkey, graduated between 1927 and 1950. Her Ph.D. research is supported by the Scientific Research Project Coordination Unit of the Istanbul Technical University.
Gül holds a BA in Anthropology and an MSc in Museology. She has conducted research on women’s museums and completed an internship at the Museum Frauenkultur Regional International in Nuremberg, Germany during her Master’s studies.
In 2023, Gül was awarded a grant by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TUBITAK) to conduct part of her Ph.D. research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maria Rentetzi at the Chair of Science, Technology and Gender Studies (STGS) at FAU.
